Ultimate Guide to Club Penguin

Hello, penguins!
This is the ultimate guide to Club Penguin!

This will show you how to play Club Penguin.

Let’s begin!
You start out with Internet explorer.
Type in http://www.clubpenguin.com/

Click the arrow.
You should end up at a page like this. Click “play”
Now you are at the play page. click start.

Now, you choose your penguin. If you don’t have a penguin, go to make an account.
Let’s choose Winkie4.
Press sign in.
Now choose where you’re from. I’m from America.

Now choose your server.

I’ll choose Snow Storm.
Here we are at the town.  You can explore areas by clicking on the arrow that leads to the other part of Club Penguin.
You can talk by clicking on the chat bar and typing in stuff and pressing send or enter.
Or you can choose from a large dictionary.

Now, let’s go in a building.
All you do is click on the door.

This is the night club. Sometimes, you can find secret stuff in buildings.
Let’s click on the speaker and see what happens.

Aha! A secret passageway.

This is the boiler room. You can click on that drawer over there to look at news papers. Lets do it.

Here are the old newspapers. they date back to 8 weeks ago. lets look at one.

This is an old newspaper. Click on the little flap at the bottom to go to another page.

Click at the little X at the top to exit out of the newspaper.

Look at the top left of the room to see the current newspaper.

Now lets go into the underground pool.

Sometimes, you can see water. And sometimes, you can get in it.

To sit, just press S on your key board.

Also, you can go to Actions on your penguin key board. go to actions.

Here you get a list of choices. you can sit down, wave, or dance. lets sit.

Also, you can wave. To wave, just press W on your key board.

also, you can go back to actions to wave.

You can also dance. You can just press D on your keyboard to dance.

Also, you can go back to actions and dance.

Now, you can click on yourself and that will bring up your player card. lets do it.

Here, you can view your coins, items and other stuff too.

lets see how many coins I have.

I have 19 coins. You can earn coins by playing games. we will go over that later.

You will see 2 arrows pointing to the the right side of the screen.  Click on the top arrow.

This will bring up your clothes. to wear clothing, click on it.

To go see more clothing, click on the up and down arrows.

to see your colors and pins and backgrounds, click on the lower arrow.

Same thing as earlier: You just click on your colors to change it.

Pins are little objects that are hidden every 2 weeks. to where them, just click on them Well, you don’t actually wear them. you just have them appear on the upper left of your player card.

Now we have back grounds. To where these, just click on them. they’ll appear behind you.

To take off clothes, just click on them.

To take off pins, just click on them.

And to take off backgrounds, just click on them.

To close your player card, just click on the little X at the top right of the player card.

To view other people’s player cards, just click on them.

You can see their pins, clothes, and backgrounds.

At the bottom of their player card, it will show a list of actions.

The Smiley face will ask them to be their buddy. If they acept, you will get a letter saying he accepted your letter. If not, you’ll get a letter saying they are not going to be your buddy.

Some times, people want to be your buddy. You will get a card at the top wishing to be your buddy. You can say yes or no.

The face that shows a face but no smiley tells if you want to find where they are. This only works with buddies.

The house will teleport to their home.

The letter will give you a catalog that shows lots of stuff you can send to them. sometimes, they send you a card. It will look like a post card with a smiley face. If you clcik on it, you will get a colorful invitation asking you to go somewhere.

It costs 10 coins to send a card.

If you go to the place, it will teleport you to the place, say the beach.

If you click on the skull, It will make you ignore that player. You won’t hear what he says and he cant be your Friend.

If you click on the little police badge with an M on it, You will report that player. Let’s do it.

To exit out of that persons player card, You click on the little X on the top right corner of the player card.

To throw a snowball, you press T on your Key board and click the place where you want to throw it.

Also, you can go to your penguin keyboard and click on the little snow ball and click where you want to throw it.

The Star on the other side of the chat bar will bring up your player card.

The Smiley face will Show your buddies.

The blue face means they are not on the server and the yellow face means they are on the server.

If you click the face with no smile It will show who is in the room with you.

If you click the skull it will show who is on you ignore list.
I think the funniest name on my ignore list is “superfatmat”!

To close your buddy list you press the X on the top right corner on the buddy list.

The house will teleport you to your home.

If you are a member, you can buy stuff for your home. (to be a member you have to pay)

The question mark will give you options about your account.

You can renew your membership (If you have one),

You can Change your password,

You can go to help which will teleport you out of http://play.clubpenguin.com/
and lead you to a help place with FAQs and stuff like that. we’re not going there today.

You can change your chatting to Ultimate Safe mode, Which is you can’t say whatever you want, you have to choose from the dictionary.

You can see how many buddies you have, and I have 63 right now,

and you can see how many days old you are, and I’m 159 days old right now.

To exit out of edit your account, just press on the little X On the top right corner of Edit Your Account.

Now, see that little Tape measure there? If you click on it, you will go to edit your igloo.

You have Upgrade your igloo,

Buy items,

View items,

and music ( if you have the music thing.)

Now, all these things are only for members, which isn’t fair.

If you click on upgrade your igloo,you will go to an upgrade igloo catalog.

The words “CLEARANCE” means these igloos will not be here next igloo catalog.

To buy an igloo, you just click on the words “Upgrade”.

There is flooring, too. Just click on the words “buy” for flooring to change your flooring.

To go to another page, just click on the little flap at the bottom left/right of the page.

To exit out, just click on the top right little X and it will go away.

To buy furniture, just go to the buy items and click on it. Same thing: To go to another page, just click on the little flap at the bottom left/right of the page.

To exit out, just click on the top right little X and it will go away.

To buy furniture, just click on “buy” and you will buy it.

To see your storage, just click on “view items”. It will show you all the stuff you own.

To see you music ( you don’t buy music) just go to Play music and choose the music you want.

If you are finished, go to the tape measure at the bottom and click it.

If you want your igloo to show up on the map, click on the lock and it’ll show up on the map. (THIS IS ONLY FOR MEMBERS)

To view the map, just click on the little blue piece of paper at the lower left part of the screen. Some times, there are secret stuff on the map. Here are the non secret rooms on the map:

The beach, Dock, Member igloos, The Plaza, Snow Forts, Town, Ice-rink, Forest, Cove, Ski Village, and Mountain.

The secret rooms on the map are:

The dojo, the iceberg, and the mine.

To go to a room, just click on it. To exit out: You know the drill: just click on the little X at the top right corner of the map.

At the top right corner of the site, you’ll see an M on a police badge Like I told you about earlier. If you click it, You can be a secret agent if you are 30 days or older you have to pass a test. If you pass it, you’ll get a spy phone the next time you log in.

The spy phone goes on your player card. It is at the lower left part of  your player card If you click on it, you’ll see it. You have the options of:

Visiting the HQ (Head Quarters)

Going to these places:

Ice-rink, Snow forts, The dock, beacon, Light house, beach, pizza parlor, pet shop, plaza, mountain, Lodge attic, ski lodge, sport shop, ski village, gift shop, dance lounge, dance club, book room, coffee shop, town, and the agent HQ.

There is also a code to secret agents. It is like tic tac toe. also, the agent HQ is at the sport shop. it is behind the 3rd dressing area.

At the HQ there are 21 monitoring screens. If you click on one, you go to that area. At the lower right bottom of the screen there is “the fish” and “missions” for you to do.

The fish is just a guide for secret agents. It also shows the secret agent code. If you click on the door on the left you go to the sport shop. It’s a really neat door.

To buy clothes, you go to either the gift shop or the sport shop. to open up the clothing magazine you go to the lower right of the screen and click the blue book.

To buy clothing, click the “buy” thing and you will buy it and it will appear in your inventory. To buy player backgrounds (for nonmembers too!) you just click on the little picture.

To buy a country pin you just click on the pin and you’ll have it in you inventory.

To be a tour guide you go to the ski village and there it is: just right In the open.

If you click on it and you’re 45 or more days old, you’ll have to take a test to become a tour guide and get the tour guide hat. Now I don’t know the answers, I forgot them.
But You’ll get the tour guide hat and you go to the dictionary and go to activities and click “take a tour”. You’ll have to have the tour guide hat on to do it, and you’ll give information on the room you are in.

There is a penguin called Rockhopper – and don’t try to log in as him, you have to put in a certain ID address- and his ship comes every like, 2 months. He brings 1 free item, and a couple of member items that won’t come back- THEY’RE EXTREMELY RARE. If you see him, and click on the originally “add buddy” if you click on the add buddy you get a free eve-patch.
Even though I’ve never gotten one, I’ve seen people with it.
